"Sustainability, ensuring the future of life on Earth, is an endless expression of generosity on behalf of all." -Paul Hawken
Welcome to the Minor in Sustainability at Notre Dame! Sustainability lies at the intersection of humanities, sciences, and social sciences. In order to address the complex of global challenges facing us in areas such as climate, water, food security, biodiversity, waste, poverty, and urbanization, new approaches and bold creativity are needed. We support students interested in pursuing studies in sustainability from a wide variety of interdisciplinary perspectives, drawing on courses from all undergraduate colleges and the Law School. Students of the minor also find internship opportunities, study-abroad programs, community service, and independent research.
